Curriculum Outline
 

By outlining the precise content that every child should learn in language arts and literature, history and geography, mathematics, science, music and the visual arts, the Core Knowledge curriculum represents a first-of-its kind effort to identify the foundation knowledge every child needs. The curriculum is as follows:

 

  • Physical Well-being, Motor Development, Movement and Coordination
    Physical activity is essential for your child’s growth and development. We use exercise, gym, yoga and music and dance to enforce coordination and general health.
  • Social and Emotional Development Autonomy and Social Skills
    We teach etiquette, manners and social skills constantly to ensure that your child develops into a loving, caring and helpful child.
  • Approaches to Learning and Work Habits
    Learning good work habits from this early age helps your child to develop a lifelong skill of managing time and following rules.
  • Language and Literacy Development
    Through our daily circle time and activities, the children learn all about the sounds of the phonics and start to recognize text and the written word.
  • Nursery Rhymes, music, rhythm, and Drama
    Music is one of the most important ways for your child to learn all about words, sounds and rhythms, which in turn gives them the skills for coordination and critical thinking.
  • Story-time, Reading and Storytelling
    Stories and reading is a daily activity that allows the children to develop language, imagination and creative thinking.
  • Emerging Numeracy Skills, Numbers, Colors, Shapes and Sizes
    Counting, sorting, measuring and patterns are reinforced through a variety of activities and exercises.
  • Baking and Cookery
    Exciting, healthy choices is the theme for the cooking sessions, where the children are encouraged to join in the action.
  • Science Exploration
    Finding out how things work and exploring the world around us.
  • Creative art
    Modeling, painting, sculpting and collage allows the children free expression and a chance go into the wonderful world of arts and crafts.
  • Arabic Language, Culture and History
    Our Arabic program and curriculum is designed to immerse your child in the language, religion, history, culture and heritage of the U.A.E. Children engage in Arabic classes where they are introduced to basic Arabic language, songs and stories, U.A.E. history, Arabic music, foods, clothing, traditions and culture. We make learning Arabic fun and exciting. Islamic is taught to the pre-K Islamic students.
